Get started
You need a Trove account and an AI client that supports custom remote MCP connections. Use the endpoint below, then authorize Trove in the browser window your client opens.
TROVE MCP ENDPOINT
https://customer.usetrove.app/mcp
Use this endpoint only in your chosen AI client. You will sign in to Trove and approve the connection; do not paste your Trove password into a chat.
ChatGPT
Add Trove as a custom plugin
STEP 1
In ChatGPT, open Settings and find Plugins or the custom MCP connection area for your workspace.
STEP 2
Choose the option to add a custom plugin or connector, name it Trove, and paste the endpoint above.
STEP 3
Sign in to Trove and approve access when ChatGPT opens the authorization page. Enable Trove in a new conversation and ask “What tools does Trove have?”
Claude
Add Trove as a custom connector
STEP 1
In Claude, open Customize or Settings, then select Connectors.
STEP 2
Use the add (+) menu, choose Add custom connector, name it Trove, and paste the endpoint above. Leave Advanced settings empty unless your organization provided separate OAuth credentials.
STEP 3
Click Add, sign in to Trove, approve access, then enable Trove in the connector picker for a new conversation.
Gemini CLI
Connect Trove from your terminal
STEP 1
Install and open Gemini CLI. This Direct connection is for the CLI, not the Gemini web app.
STEP 2
Run: gemini mcp add --transport http trove https://customer.usetrove.app/mcp
STEP 3
Complete authorization in your browser, then run /mcp in Gemini CLI to verify the connection. Gemini CLI displays text responses; actions that require a visual confirmation card must be completed in Trove or a client that supports the card.
Need help?
If your client cannot connect or authorization fails, contact the Trove team with the client name and a description of the error. Never include passwords or access tokens.
