Getting started
You need a Trove account and an AI app that supports remote MCP connections. Trove uses a secure MCP connection and asks you to sign in and approve access.

Connect Trove to your AI
Find Trove in your AI’s own directory (Claude Connectors, or ChatGPT Plugins), connect, sign in to Trove and authorize. Then ask your first question about your saves.
1. Create your Trove account
Sign up at customer.usetrove.app and save a few links so your AI has something to find. The Chrome extension can bring in your LinkedIn saves.

2. Connect your AI app
Claude →
Add Trove App from Claude’s Connectors directory.
ChatGPT →
Add Trove as a custom plugin.
Gemini CLI →
One terminal command.
Other MCP clients →
Any remote MCP client with OAuth.
3. Direct MCP connection
Direct MCP connection is for IDEs and MCP clients such as Cursor, VS Code and JetBrains. Add Trove as a remote MCP server using the endpoint https://customer.usetrove.app/mcp.
Trove MCP endpoint
https://customer.usetrove.app/mcp
Use this endpoint only in your chosen AI app. You will sign in to Trove and approve the connection; never paste your Trove password into a chat.
4. Ask about your library
Start a new conversation and ask “What tools does Trove have?”, then try a prompt from Using Trove.
